  • Mr. Nobel at the UN

    On February 18, 2016, Claes Nobel addressed 500 youth leaders attending the 2016 Winter Youth Assembly at the United Nations in New York City. In his keynote address, Mr. Nobel discussed the power that young people possess to create lasting world change. He viewed the Youth Assembly as an exceptional occasion for diverse young people to discuss the implementation of The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

  • Claes Nobel Receives Humanitarian of the Year Award from SCIP

    On April 24, 2014, the Selective Corporate Internship Program (SCIP) presented Mr. Nobel with their prestigious Humanitarian of the Year Award at SCIP’s 17th annual gala celebration, “An Evening with the Stars.” SCIP, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization was founded in 1997 by Monica and Miguel Mancebo to provide intensive, business environment training to talented inner city high school students from New York City and New Jersey. During the gala celebration, Mr. Nobel and James Lewis inducted twenty-five high-achieving scholars participating in the SCIP program into the Society.

  • Stockholm University Hosts Claes Nobel and James Lewis During Nobel Week

    Mr. Nobel was invited to return to his native country to share his insights with students during the annual celebrations of Nobel Week in Stockholm, Sweden, where the Nobel Prizes are awarded. On December 6, 2012, Mr. Nobel addressed Swedish and international students participating in their first semester of a Business Administration and Political Science Bachelor’s Program at Stockholm University. During their time in Sweden, Mr. Nobel and Mr. Lewis will also met with Professor Kåre Bremer, President of Stockholm University.

  • NSHSS College Student Council Launched

    NSHSS Student Council members are college students selected for their outstanding leadership abilities. They offer advice to high school members about preparing for and succeeding in college. They participate in member events and also share their experiences through social media and articles. To date, over 200 students have served on the Council.

  • First Annual Scholar’s Day Celebration is held in the U.S. Senate

    NSHSS hosts an annual celebration honoring our scholars and educators in Washington, D.C. Students, teachers, families, and NSHSS friends and partners gather from all over the world to recognize achievements and to be motivated and inspired by outstanding mentors in the U.S. capitol.

  • Claes Nobel attends Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony in Oslo with President Carter

    Mr. Nobel was personally invited by President Jimmy Carter to attend the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony held in Oslo, Norway in December 2002, when he received this prestigious award established by Mr. Nobel’s great-uncle Alfred Nobel. At the invitation of President Carter, NSHSS now holds an annual holiday member recognition event at The Carter Center in Atlanta, Georgia each December.

  • NSHSS is founded by Claes Nobel and James Lewis

    The Society was established in order to continue Mr. Nobel’s family legacy of recognizing and rewarding excellence. The mission of the organization is to recognize academic excellence and to encourage members to apply their unique talents, vision, and potential for the betterment of themselves and the world. The Society has now grown to one million members worldwide since its founding.
